Frances Anita Davis Life Story

Frances Anita Davis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born on April 5, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, to Effie Brewer and Peter Cain.

Frances was a beacon of love and compassion, her heart overflowing with devotion for her family and a genuine desire to help others. Her life was defined by her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place, one person at a time.

Frances' love story with her husband, Bobby Davis, began in 7th grade at Greiner Middle School in Dallas, blossoming into a 60-year marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they built a life founded on mutual respect, understanding, and a deep bond that transcended time.

As Chief Steward of the union for Southwestern Bell, Frances used her exceptional people skills to advocate tirelessly for better wages and working conditions for her fellow employees, touching countless lives and earning the respect and admiration of all who knew her.

In addition to her dedicated service to Southwestern Bell, Frances found joy and fulfillment in her role of leadership and sales for Avon, a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her community. For 57 years, she brought the joy of shopping and companionship to countless individuals, particularly those in nursing homes, alongside her chosen sister, Lydia. Frances was also awarded as a Top Seller for Avon and received the Spirit of Avon award.

Frances was a woman of boundless generosity, using the proceeds from selling her spaghetti and brownies to support retirees of Southwestern Bell, a true reflection of her caring nature and commitment to those around her. Her love knew no bounds, extending even to the animals she welcomed into her home with open arms.

In her leisure time, Frances enjoyed simple pleasures like attending the State Fair of Texas, taking her granddaughters shopping, and spending her time spoiling her pets. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Frances leaves behind a profound void in the hearts of her beloved family: her devoted husband, Bobby Davis; her loving sons, Ricky Davis (Debi) and Robert Davis (Barbara); her cherished granddaughters, Shelby Davis and Lacy Rosales; her dear brother, Gerald Frank Cain; and her beloved sister, Lydia Donahue.

She is reunited in eternity with her mother, Effie Rae Brewer; her father, Peter Frank Cain Jr.; her stepfather, David Ashworth; and her sister, Shirley Rae Rickards.

Frances Anita Davis will be remembered fondly for her selflessness, her unwavering kindness, and her dedication to making the world a better place. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a role model for all who knew her and the true matriarch of her beloved family.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
