Consuelo Ramriez Tamez was born March 7, 1919 in New Castle Texas to the parents Pedro Diaz Ramirez and Estanilada Estrada Ramirez. She Passed on the 7th day of November 2018 at age 99 after a long and eventful life. She was one of ten sisters and brothers. As children, she and her siblings were migrant pickers of produce throughout the middle USA.
She was married to her late Husband, Charlie Tamez Sr. for over 63 Years. That union produced 2 sons, Charlie Jr., Gilbert and daughter Olga Tamez. She leaves behind from Charlie Tamez Jr., 1 grandson and 1 Grand Daughter plus 6 Great grandchildren, and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren; Gilbert Tamez Sr. 1 grandson and 2 Grand Daughters plus 4 Great grandchildren, Olga Tamez Knutson, 1 grandson and 2 Grand Daughters plus 9 Great grandchildren.
She graduated from a New Castle High School, married and moved to Wichita Falls when her husband went to fight in Europe during WWII. She and her husband later moved to the Dallas Texas area in the 1960’s
At the time f her passing, Consuelo resided in Wylie Texas with her Daughter Olga Tamez Knutson. Consuelo was a House Wife, Seamstress, and Mother. She enjoyed reading, embroidery and quilting. She loved her family and had a beautiful heart. She will be lovingly remembered by her family.
A celebration of Consuelo’s life will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Hughes Family Tribute Center, 9700 Webb Chapel Road Dallas, Texas 75220.
Consuelo will be laid to rest next to Her Husband Charlie Tamez Sr. and a Grandson Michael on Thursday November 15, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home & Cemetery at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas 75243
