Frederick Carl Schaerdel

Fred C. Schaerdel, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, was called home by his heavenly Father at 1 PM on January 1, 2018. He is survived by wife, Mildred; daughters, Linda, Nancy, and Christy; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and close to 50 family members. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and as a longtime Lone Star Cadillac Professional. He loved his family, church, and everybody he met. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, 6121 E. Lovers Ln., Dallas, TX 75214. A visitation will be held before the service at 10 AM. Burial will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10 AM at the DFW National Cemetery. Our thanks to Faith Hospice and Zion Lutheran Church.
