William Craven of Dallas, Texas passed away on May 10, 2018.
He was born on May 20, 1922 in Lebanon, Missouri to Arthur and Mabel Craven. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Army Air Force. He was present at the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He served his country for four years during World War II, earning 4 Bronze Star awards.
Shortly after being discharged from the military, William started working for NABISCO. He worked there for 33 years up to his retirement in 1980.
William was a devoted servant of the Lord. He and his loving wife, Helen, were members of Hampton Road Baptist Church in Desoto, Texas for many years.
Mr. William Craven is survived by his wife of 44 years, Helen Craven; his son, Scott Craven of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Donna Craven of Houston, Texas; his step-son, Gerald Goodson of Duncanville, Texas; his sister, Phyllis Morris of Lamar, Missouri; his six grandchildren; his many great-grandchildren; and his friends.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mabel Craven; his step-son, Richard Goodson; and two of his siblings.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on May 17, 2018 at the Hampton Road Baptist Church at 10:00 AM. Mr. William Craven will be entombed in the historic Crown Hill Mausoleum located at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
