Albert Vera, 98, beloved Husband, was called to his eternal resting place on October 7, 2021. He entered this world on June 16, 1923 in Houston, Texas, born to Clemente and Leandra Vera. In his younger days he was an amateur boxer. He also loved playing golf. Albert served in the Navy for 20 years, including service in World War II in the Pacific Ocean. Albert married the love of his life, Beatrice, 76 years ago. They loved to dance together to big band music. They celebrated a special 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at a Mass at St. Monica Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and The Veterans of Foreign Wars. Albert also loved the Dallas Cowboys and was a lifelong fan. After retiring from the Navy he was a Senior Guide at St. Monica School for many years.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Albert is survived by his beloved wife, Beatrice Vera; his sons, Albert Vera Jr. and Alfredo Vera; his daughter Gloria Kelly; his brother-in-laws, Richard Guerra and wife Mary Helen, and Joe Guerra; his sister-in-law, Vera Serna; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
