Alireza "Reza" Shahroudi was born in Tehran, Iran, on September 18, 1973, to Mahmood Shahroudi and Forough Zeinali. After graduation from high school, Reza focused on becoming an expert computer technician and became a professional in this field. In 2003, Reza married the love of his life, Maryam Behjati in Tehran. In 2005, they were thrilled to welcome their first child, Atrin.
In 2003, Reza accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and became a Christian. His faith grew stronger over the next three years and he was baptized in Dubai in 2006. Because of this, Reza was arrested by government officials. He felt his life was in danger, so he took his family and traveled to Turkey for safety. His beautiful daughter, Emma, was born there in 2011. While in Turkey, Brian boldly declared his faith by teaching online Bible studies for Iranian people who wanted to know more about Jesus. Many people accepted Jesus because of Reza's faith and his desire for others to know more about becoming a Christian.
In 2015, Reza and his family moved to Dallas, Texas, USA, to begin a new life. He worked as an expert computer technician for AT&T and also hosted Bible Studies in his home.
Reza was a devoted husband and father and had a passion for music. He and his beloved wife, Maryam, always enjoyed dancing to his favorite Frank Sinatra song, Sway. His children, Atrin and Emma, were the lights of his life. He also greatly enjoyed laughing with friends and giving advice.
Reza is survived by his parents Mahmood Shahroudi and Forough Zeinali of Iran, wife, Maryam, son Atrin, and daughter Emma, of the United States of America, and sister, Shole Shahroudi of Iran.
Reza was greatly loved by his family and many friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will never be forgotten.
May he rest in peace until we meet again in Heaven. Azizami
