Andrew Flores, 65, of Mesquite, TX, passed away on November 09, 2023 after a lengthy battle with multiple health issues.
Andy was born on February 20, 1958 to Carlos & Dolores Flores in Dallas, TX. After graduation from North Mesquite High School in 1976, Andy took some college classes but found his passion of being a mechanic. He opened his own mechanic shop for a few years, but eventually joined the United States Navy and became a helicopter mechanic, stationed in Norfolk, VA and Jacksonville, FL.
He worked with his brothers in construction after leaving the Navy until he found his new passion for gardening. He began the path of becoming a Master Gardener but his health kept him from completing the final classes. Andy was a die-hard Oakland Raiders fan and he loved the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Andy is preceded in death by his father, Carlos Flores, Sr., his mother Dolores Chavez, all of his grandparents and nephew, Mitchell Danforth, Jr. He is survived by his brother Carlos Flores, Jr. and wife Becky of Austin, TX; Gilbert Flores of Mesquite, TX; Rudy Flores and wife Cheryl of Whitney, TX; Victoria Flores of Dallas, TX; Virginia Evans and husband Frank of Mesquite, TX and several nieces & nephews that he loved dearly as well as his dogs.
Andy will be remembered for his kindness, love of his family, being a practical joker and giving everyone a nickname.
