Emily Contreras

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, 91 of Dallas, Texas passed away on January 27, 2023. Born May 28, 1931 to George and Casimera Garza in Manor, TX. Emily was preceded in death by her loving husband, Manuel S. Contreras, siblings, Felicita, Juan, Cecilia, and Guadelupe. She is survived by her son, Frank G. Contreras (Minerva), daughter, Yolanda Contreras Scott (Lance), granddaughters, Melissa Contreras Gass (Ron) and Emily Contreras (Jesus), great-grandchildren, Lauren Penney Morrell (Charles), Myles Penney, Jesus Cardenas, Abagail Cardenas, as well as her special friend and longtime partner, Vicente Lara, and many loving and caring nieces and nephews. Emily worked as a seamstress for 43 years for Nardis Company and her own seamstress business.
