Harold Regner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away in Plano, Texas on January 28, 2020 at 86 years old. He was born to Adam and Mae Regner on April 7, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois at St. Mary’s of Nazareth Hospital. Along with his parents, Harold’s family also consisted of his two brothers, Richard and Adam. Harold proudly served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 in West Germany. While stationed overseas, he met the love of his life, his beautiful wife of 62 years, Inge Regner. Together, Inge and Harold had their son Lloyd. After leaving the Army, Harold made a career in Transportation Management in Chicago due to his passion for the railroad industry. Later, he and his family moved to Dallas where he owned and operated a small retail store for 20 years. Harold loved to travel and spend time with his 4 grandchildren more than anything in the world. He was a great man who touched the lives of so many in such a positive way. He was always there with a smile to improve the day of anyone he came across.
Harold Regner is survived by his loving wife, Inge Regner; his devoted son, Lloyd Regner (age 55); and his four grandchildren, Michelle (age 25), Matthew (age 19), Paris (age 15), and Lloyd Jr. (age 10). Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Mae Regner and his brothers, Richard Regner and Adam Regner.
