On Friday, October 9, 2020, James (Jamie) Faith, Jr. was tragically lost to gun violence outside his home in Dallas, TX. This loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend was 49 years old.
Jamie was born on May 11, 1971 in Madison, Wisconsin to James and Rita (Mitchell) Faith. He earned his BS in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater in 1994. His career in technology was his calling as he was highly successful in the software engineering domain. Most recently, Jamie served in a leadership role as the Director of Technology at American Airlines. He had a passion for mentoring others on their career paths and supporting his employees and co-workers in their journeys.
His career took him to Arizona, where he met his wife, Jennifer, on October 8, 2005. They were inseparable from that date on. Jamie adored being a father to her daughter, Amber, whom he eventually adopted on March 21, 2016.
Jamie was a man of many talents and passions. He was a Green Bay Packers fan who loved travel, food, and wine, but most of all he loved his family and friends.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Amber; his parents, James and Rita of Las Vegas, NV; his sister, Lori Faith Bhatia, his brother-in-law, Pradeep Bhatia, his nephew, Ajay Bhatia, and his niece, Priya Bhatia of San Ramon, CA; several aunts, uncles, and cousins around the country; his dear friends in Phoenix, AZ; and his beloved pets Maggie, Taco, and Junior.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, October 15 from 5-8 PM, and a funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16 from 11 AM-12 noon. A link to a live stream for the service will be found below.
