Modesta Nino Life Story

Modesta Hernandez Nino was born on February 1,1965 in Pearsall Tx to Baltazar Ramirez Hernandez & Esperanza Gonzalez Hernandez. She had 2 sisters & 6 brothers. She later met & married Angel Nino Barbosa together they had 9 children & 24 grandchildren. Family was the most important thing to her. To everyone she was best known as "Ama".
Ama left behind many memories filled with laughter & happiness. She had a big personality & a Big Heart! She was very humble & sincere. Every Christmas she made sure everyone got presents. No one was left out! She was the type of person to give even if she didn't have much. She loved to sing, dance & make people laugh. One of her favorite things to do aside from shopping was to put her cumbias on & drive around for hours. That was her relaxation She called it "Cruzn". She was very free spirited. Growing up, Summers at Amas house were always a unique experience. She made sure her children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews had a story to remember. There was always something fun going on. She enjoyed telling scary stories while we all camped out on the trampoline. She always ended those scary stories by sneaking away from the trampoline & popping back up on everyone pretending to be the llorona! We all screamed & laughed because we knew it was just ama trying to get a jump scare out of everyone. Those were good times. The only thing we dreaded about Summers at Ama's was that we knew we also had to clean up & keep up with chores she was strict on that. But we didn't complain because the Fun out weighed it all. Ama had many great qualities but the one that stood out the most was her Strength! In the eyes of her children she was a Warrior who never gave up & kept fighting no matter what obstacles were put in her way. She lived life to the fullest! This is how we will remember you Ama! We will make sure to celebrate your life. Because that's exactly what she wanted! She is now dancing, singing & laughing up in heaven. She has finally been reunited with her husband Angel & now they both will be looking over us. Ama Your memory will live on forever.
