Nellie Lee Goode

Nellie Lee Goode was born August 7, 1921 in Dallas, Texas and passed away October 19, 2020 in McKinney, TX. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, Robert (Bob) D. Goode, parents Mary Ida and Henry E. Martin. Survived by sons Richard Goode; Dennis Goode and wife Anita; daughter Carol James and husband Rick; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Nellie and Bob met at North American Airline during WWII. Although most days were spent behind a desk, they sometimes accompanied pilots on test flights in new AT-6 training planes with parachutes strapped to their backs. Nellie helped open Titches at Northpark Mall where she worked for many years before retirement from Dillard’s. Nellie enjoyed travel with Bob as well as visiting family and friends. The family is grateful to the staff at Anthology of Stonebridge Ranch as well as Total Hospice & Palliative Care for their thoughtful care and kindness. Nellie was buried at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
